Business at the Table is the Winterville Chamber’s quarterly Lunch & Learn series designed to bring business leaders together for timely conversations, practical insights, and meaningful connections – all over lunch.

At this session, attendees will learn about the ENC WIN Apprenticeship Hub, an initiative created to help Eastern North Carolina employers “grow their own” workforce. Led by the Rivers East Workforce Development Board in partnership with NCWorks, Apprenticeship NC, local community colleges, and regional employers, ENC WIN serves as a single point of contact for businesses interested in launching or expanding apprenticeship programs.

The presentation will walk through how ENC WIN works directly with employers to turn existing job descriptions into structured apprenticeship programs – handling much of the development and coordination so participation requires minimal time and effort from the employer. Attendees will also learn how workforce funding tools such as On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) can help offset training costs, while education partners provide aligned classroom instruction and credentialed training.

This session is especially valuable for businesses looking to improve hiring and retention, explore new recruitment pipelines, and build long-term career pathways. Apprenticeships are not limited to the trades and can be applied across a wide range of industries and roles.

This edition of Business at the Table is proudly presented by QC Kinetix, whose support helps make professional development opportunities like this accessible to the local business community.

This Connect & Learn is proudly presented by Pitt Community College.

Securing funding can feel overwhelming - but it doesn’t have to be.

At this month’s Connect & Learn, we’ll hear from an experienced entrepreneur who has successfully applied for and won multiple grants and pitch competitions to grow her business. Now, she’s expanding her impact by launching a new venture that provides curated grant roundups to help business owners access funding opportunities more easily.

During this session, she’ll walk us through:

    • Where to find legitimate business grants and pitch opportunities

    • How to determine which grants are worth your time

    • What documents and information you should have prepared before applying

    • Common mistakes that cost applicants funding

    • Tips to strengthen your application and stand out

Whether you’re a startup founder, an established business owner, or just curious about additional funding streams, this session will give you practical tools and clarity to move forward with confidence.

Come ready to learn, ask questions, and leave better prepared to fund your next big step.

Refreshments provided. Non-members welcome to attend two events per year.
